Thom Yorke, all'improvviso il nuovo album è già online.

Arriva il nuovo album solista di Thom Yorke, cantante dei Radiohead, comparso all'improvviso sul web dopo qualche sparso cinguettio su Twitter e scaricabile a questo indirizzo, alla modica cifra di sei dollari.

Il titolo del disco sarà “Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes" e, se non per il contenuto, è sicuramente rivoluzionario per la forma nel quale è stato lanciato. Particolare è infatti la scelta di pubblicare il disco su BitTorrent, con la polemica contro Apple e gli U2 che si è solo leggermente placata negli ultimi giorni.

La storia alla fine dei conti è questa, su BitTorrent trovate il video clip di “A Brain in a Bottle” e un bundle da scaricare gratis che contiene: il brano in questione, il video e due link che servono per comprare il vinile e l’edizione deluxe, se invece volete scaricare tutto l’album dovete pagare sei dollari.

Insomma, una mossa che va a favore di tutti, con il popolare client Torrent che ha appena effettuato un massiccio restyling e ha trovato un modo di farsi sicuramente un'ottima pubblicità e con il frontman dei Radiohead che ha trovato il suo modo di affrontare le nuove difficoltà della musica in digitale e di continuare la sua polemica nei confronti delle piattaforme di streaming come ad esempio Spotify, piattaforme su cui il lavoro non verrà caricato.

It’s a self-contained embeddable shop front… The network not only carries the traffic, it also hosts the file. The file is in the network. Oh yes and it’s called Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes.
